Examination Criteria

Microstation AC02-003 3D Level 3

Objective:

To test your 3D assembly drawing ability and speed by creating the solids in Microstation, and complete the 2D part drawing in Paper Space A XREF assembly is drawn in Model Space, and an 2D assembly drawing is created in Paper Space including overall dimensions and a bill of material.

Resources:

You will need a Pentium 4 class computer with an AutoCAD 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008 software. Titleblocks are provided.

Time:

You have 120 minutes to complete the problem with dimensions, notes, bill of materials, and title block.

Success Criteria:

You must be able to draw the problem within 120 minutes. Finish in 60 minutes for a one hundred percent score, to 120 minutes for a eighty-five percent score. You will lose one percent for every four minute exceeding 60. You will lose one percent for every error. Passing score is a 85%.

Training Plan:

Work through chapters one through eighteen of the World Class CAD, Fundamentals of 3D Drawing textbook. You may do as many practice problems as you wish.
