Examination Criteria

AutoCAD AC02-001 3D Level 1

Objective:

To test your 3D solid drawing ability and speed by creating the solid in Model Space, and complete the 2D part drawing in Paper Space.

Resources:

You will need a Pentium 4 class computer with an AutoCAD 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008 software. Titleblocks are provided.

Time:

You have 30 minutes to complete the problem.

Success Criteria:

You must be able to draw the solid in Model Space, and complete the 2D part drawing in Paper Space within 30 minutes. Finish in 15 minutes for a one hundred percent score, to 30 minutes for a eighty-five percent score. You will lose one percent for every minute exceeding 15. You will lose one percent for every error. Passing score is a 85%.

Training Plan:

Work through chapters one through eleven, and chapters fifteen and sixteen of the World Class CAD, Fundamentals of 3D Drawing textbook. You may do as many practice problems as you wish.
