Examination Criteria

AutoCAD AC01-001 2D Level 1

Objective:

To test an individual's 2D drawing ability and speed of creating a single orthographic view drawing.

Resources:

You will need a Pentium 4 class computer with an AutoCAD 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008 software. Titleblock is provided.

Time:

You have 30 minutes to complete the problem with dimensions, and notes.

Success Criteria:

You must be able to draw a single view problem within 30 minutes. Finish in 15 minutes for a one hundred percent score, to 30 minutes for a eighty-five percent score. You will lose one percent for every minute exceeding 15. You will lose one percent for every error. Passing score is a 85%.

Training Plan:

Work through chapters one through seven of the World Class CAD, Fundamentals of 2D Drawing textbook. You may do as many practice problems as you wish.
