Scaffolding

Scaffolding is used to allow workers to stand and work on buildings where a single ladder becomes ineffective. Once the worker is on the platform held by supports on either side, he or she can maneuver freely to accomplish their task. We would have to move a single ladder multiple times plus needing to ascend and descend each time. All of the additional movement can be both time consuming and increase the risk of an accident during the operation.

Where commercial ladders have labels showing load limits and are in most cases a complete assembled unit, scaffolding can require putting the pieces together at the construction site. Follow all the procedures provided by the scaffolding manufacture and obey any regulations published by the community concerning scaffolding.
