Parking Lot - Wheel Stop

When designing a parking lot, we need to prevent automobiles from striking the curb or sidewalk which could result in a personal injury or property damage. Parking lot wheel stop are precast concrete.

They are typically anchored to the parking lot by two metal fasteners, one for each side. We can see the two indentations on the wheel stop in the image. Wheel stops are chamfered at the top to prevent damage to the vehicle's tires.

We can purchase wheel stops in bright colors to help drivers see the barrier during times of low visibilty such as during the night and in the rain or in the snow.
