These stairs are rising from a paved platform and bring the climber to a 16 foot by 40 foot covered deck. The tread is wide and the riser is low allowing for the user to ascend or descend easily.

These stairs use a 2 x 12 for the tread and the riser is recessed to create a small nosing. The roof or the deck also covers the steps, so they remain dry during inclement weather. There are handrails on both ends of the stairs.
